AWARD-WINNING INSPIRATIONAL ARTIST DELRA HARRIS
TAKES HOME NINE EN SOUND MUSIC AWARDS AND TAPPED ACCLAIMED VIDEO DIRECTOR JEFFREY ELMONT FOR TWO
NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

ATLANTA (October 1, 2012) – Delra Harris has taken the term “no limits” to another level. The international recording artist, producer, director, songwriter, oh, and corporate model, has recently won nine En Sound Music awards and just completed two new music videos, in which one he directed along with Jeffery Elmont, who has produced videos featuring Grammy Award-winning and nominated artists Lil Wayne and Flo-Rida. Harris has taken Inspirational music to a whole new level with no end in sight!

“I am humbly honored to bring inspiration to people all over the world,” said Harris. “I am committed to sharing my faith and my inspirational messages through my music. I don’t take it lightly, the platform in which I have been allowed to deliver my music to. This is very serious to me and I have the utmost respect, dedication and gratitude to each and every person that allows my music into their homes, their cars, their jobs and into their lives.”

And that dedication has turned into a recent firestorm of multiple awards. At the 2012 En Sound Music Awards, a premier music event recognizing and honoring the talent of indie Christian artists from around the world, Harris led the nominations with nine nods. It was a clean sweep. Harris claimed all nine awards, and is the first artist in the event’s history to win this number of awards for the year. Harris collected wins for Male Vocalist of the Year;” Artist of the Year; Album of the Year, “No Authority;” Song of the Year, “Please Speak to Me;” Music Video of the Year, “No Authority,” Best Urban Song of the Year, “Look at Me Now;” Best Christian Dance Song of the Year, “Hope-Dance mix;” Best Inspirational Song, “Just Do It;” and finally, the President’s Global Impact Award as International Recording Artist of the Year for his musical and philanthropic contributions worldwide. Harris also gave an electrifying performance during the awards show.

“It was truly an amazing evening,” said Harris. “I was up against some incredibly talented recording artists from all around the world, so it was a humbling experience to be presented with so many awards before my peers, family and supporters in a setting where indie Christian artists are being honored, recognized and celebrated.”

Following his phenomenal wins at the 2012 En Sound Music Awards, the FAVOR didn’t stop there. Just days later, Harris was asked to sing the national anthem for an audience of more than 16,000 people for the annual, nationally recognized event, “Celebrate Freedom.” “I can’t imagine any recording artist that wouldn’t count this as an extreme honor and consider this an award in and of itself to their career,” explained Harris. “For me to share the stage with multiple Grammy Award-winning artists and legends such as Amy Grant, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Jeremy Camp, Sanctus Real, Montel Jordan, and for the board members of the event  to request that I be the one to honor our country by singing our national anthem; alongside my

experience at Jordan River in Jerusalem; this is one of my most cherished and proudest moments of my musical career to date.” Harris was also listed as one of the exclusive performing acts for the event, where he performed his award winning song, “Just Do It.”

Without skipping a beat, Harris then hopped on a plane to the other side of the U.S. to film two of his new music videos with iconic Video Producer Jeffrey Elmont.  Harris filmed videos for two of his award winning songs, “Look at Me Now” and “Please Speak to Me,” which are both scheduled for worldwide release early this month and the other in mid-November. Harris selected Elmont for his creativity and ability to make a visual interpretation of music that has a lasting and memorable impact.  In addition to the acclaimed video collaborations with Lil Wayne and Flo-Rida, Elmont also produced commercials for Adidas, with NBA powerhouses Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose; Nike; and Mitsubishi.

“For me to direct one of my videos along side Jeffrey Elmont was one of the most enjoyable and insightful experiences I’ve had as a director,” said Harris. “Jeffrey’s intellectual directing contributions combined with his well-balanced ability to remain focused and likable at the same time, is second to none.”

Harris’ unique musical style that he describes as “IGOP,” which is a blend of Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel, Techno, Rock and even Country, has gained him national acclaim, fans worldwide and multiple music awards and nominations.  He also won a Gospel Academy Award for Song of the Year, for his previous album “Keep the Faith,” which he performed live at Jordan River in Jerusalem. Harris is currently gearing up for his 2013 worldwide tour, which will include stops in New Orleans, Hawaii, New York, Los Angeles, France, Germany and a host of other cities and countries. Harris is not quite done yet.  Harris and his extraordinary media team will launch the all-new DELRAEXPERIENCE.COM on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at midnight. “ I have worked with our talented DXP (Delra Experience) team of developers for the past year and a half to meticulously fine tune one of our most amazing websites to date,” shared Harris. “Together, we have created a digital web blueprint that really expresses my creativity and has afforded us the ability to give our DXP supporters the unexpected. We have never worked so hard to create this type of web presence. You will have to see it to believe it!”

After a quick exhale, Harris just signed an endorsement that has him diligently involved in its development. The details are sequestered for now but Harris promises it will be worth the wait.
