Jazz Singer Gregory Generet Releases New CD, “(re) generet-ion” on June 19th, 2012
Mosaic Records Releases New Project from Acclaimed Jazz Vocalist Gregory Generet | “(re) generet-ion on June 19th, 2012
A native of New York City, Gregory Generet’s love of music was fueled by the
legendary Motown sound that filled the streets and gave voice to a new generation.
But it would be the ever present music of the elders, Jazz, that would fully capture
his imagination and propel his desire to one day become a singer.
Legendary vocalists Billy Eckstine, Jon Hendricks and Joe Williams, among others,
exemplified the storyteller Generet longed to be.
Taking on the theme of romance, he has re-imaged the term “Standard” by
adding his own vocal flexibility and appreciation for the clarity that is innate to Jazz
aficionados.
