The Top 100 R&B Slow Jams #22 | Angela Winbush – Angel
You can fool around T.U.M.S. Readers and stay up all night with us if you want. It’s up to you, because we have something special and magnificent to share that will help keep you up well pass your bedtime.
Take a look at our #22 selection into our enduring and long lasting Top 100 R&B Slow Jams Collection.
We break out this evening the illustrious and wonderful queen of soul music, Ms. Angela Winbush.
After departing from a successful run with singer Rene Moore in the makeup group, “Rene & Angela”, Ms. Winbush came fresh with a mesmerizing debut album, “Sharp.” On that LP, came a quiet stormin’ treasure of all time. The classic, “Angel.” This ballad climbed up Billboard charts and stayed there for two weeks back in 1987.
If we had our way, it would’ve stayed up there much longer back then! LOL
But no folks, this midnight oil burnin’ delight magnified just how important and how significant Angela Winbush meant to the ENTIRE R&B music landscape. And T.U.M.S. only wanted to send you all a reminder that, guess what, no matter what….SHE STILL IS.
This pick came courtesy from T.U.M.S. writers Randy Holmes, Charles F. Sherard AND publisher Terrill Hanna. They held on to this request for a good minute.
Cheers to having some good taste for music gentlemen.
Take it nice and slow tonight everyone. Please. We give you #22 of our Top 100 R&B Slow Jams collection with a look at “Angel” by Angela Winbush!
