MEMPHIS, TN (Sept 15, 2010) – A compilation of hip hop, R&B, and soul cover tracks, September 14, 2010, Marqué released his highly anticipated debut mixtape, Rhythm & Jazz: The Unthinkable—a title all too fitting for such a project. The Unthinkable is a saxophone mixtape. Yes, you read right, a saxophone mixtape.

Marqué captures your ears with his enticing versatility on some of today’s hottest tracks such as Usher’s There Goes My Baby and Gucci Mane and Trey Songz’s Beat It Up. Then, he slows it down a little and serenades you with tracks with Pretty Wings by Maxwell and Say Yes by Floetry. Additionally, the mixtape features local poet,Phatmak, along with Marqué’s original track, Smooth Runnin’.

With his soulful approach to R&B and hip hop, Marqué is bringing us back to great music – music that we can groove to – and The Unthinkable is the perfect mixture of the two plus jazz. In his Thank You track, Marqué sums up just why he took on the challenge of creating a saxophone mixtape: “I wanted to bridge the gap between hip hop & jazz […] Ijust wanted to give it to you like this, in a way I feel like you would listen.”

When asked why people should download The Unthinkable, Marqué says, “Because it’s unique. It’s something that’s never been done. I wanted to take a different route and be me, not anyone else.” Well, I’ll just let you be the judge of that.
