A native Bostonian, Vivian Male is a jazz and R & B vocalist, entrepreneur and President of Vivian Male Productions. She has produced & performed concerts for educational scholarships at Berklee College of Music and numerous not-for-profit institutions.
Vivian’s song renditions range in mood and tempo and demonstrate a musical versatility that appeals to audiences of all ages. Her recording debut was on a collaborative CD,Boston Sings Out. “Our Day Will Come” is her first solo CD, which she co-produced with Langston “Skip” Smith, and Eric Preusser of Preusser International Productions. Over the years Vivian has worked with recording artists Walter Beasley, Bill Pierce, and Andre Ward, as well as producer and composer Rollins Ross.
Singing adult contemporary music, jazz, rhythm and blues, and pop, Vivian Male has performed primarily throughout the New England area. Performances include national conferences and fundraising events, such as “Steppin’ Out” – Boston’s premier annual gathering of musical professionals. She has performed the National Anthem for the New England Patriots multiple times, was a featured vocalist for the New England Emmy Awards, was the guest artist for WERS, 88.9 FM’s inaugural reopening live broadcast,and has been featured on multiple Boston television stations. Vivian’s favorite club venue is Sculler’s Jazz Club in Boston.
