Detroit Jazz Festival | Labor Day Weekend

The Detroit Jazz Fest is proud to announce that Detroit-born violinist and recent MacArthur Foundation “Genius Award” winner Regina Carter has been named the festival’s first artist in residence. Ms Carter will be joined by the legendary Herbie Hancock, also included in this years festivities are Mavis Staples, Otis Clay, Bettye Lavette, The Miracles, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Garrett, Ron Carter and Gerald Wilson.
