2x Grammy Award-winning Gospel Music Legends, The Clark Sisters, Release New Single, “Victory”

(Detroit, MI) October 22, 2019 – Karew Entertainment in partnership with Motown Gospel, are excited to release to radio “Victory”, the newest single from the legendary gospel group, The Clark Sisters. “Victory” will be available to be streamed on all major digital platforms on Friday, November 15, 2019 (the same day as the birthdays of Karen Clark Sheard and Twinkie Clark). The 2x Grammy-award winning group revitalizes their classic 80s sound that die-hard Clark Sister fans love and new fans will assuredly add to their playlists. “Victory” gives listeners a word of encouragement reminding people to “declare victory over your life!” It finishes with the repetitive final declaration that “we shall prosper and be in good health,” with ad libs that are truly signature to The Clark Sister sound. It was written by Karen Clark Sheard and her son J. Drew Sheard II, who also produced the record. This is the first single from the up and coming new album set to be released in March 2020. This project is the second Clark Sisters project to be released on the family label, Karew Entertainment, and will be distributed via Motown Gospel.

Born and raised in Detroit, MI., The Clark Sisters are a legendary and iconic Gospel music group comprised of sisters Jacky Clark Chisholm, Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark Terrell, Dorinda Clark Cole, and Karen Clark Sheard. The daughters of renowned Gospel musician and choral director, Mattie Moss Clark, they have been singing and performing together since 1966. The recipients of numerous notable awards and honors, including 2 GRAMMY Awards, The Clark Sisters have produced 20 albums to date. Revered by numerous Pop and R&B artists such as Mariah Carey, Jill Scott, Beyoncé, and Xscape, The Clark Sisters were honored at the 2016 Essence Music Festival for their musical contributions with remarks from Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, Kierra Sheard and Yolanda Adams. Their vocals were most recently featured on the latest projects by Hip-Hop artists Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg.

Credited for helping to bring gospel music to the mainstream, The Clark Sisters are considered pioneers of contemporary Gospel music.
