LALAH CONTINUES FAMILY LEGACY AT THE SAME PLACE DONNY HATHAWAY RECORDED HIS SEMINAL LIVE ALBUM

Los Angeles, CA (April 3, 2015) – Today, two-time GRAMMY® award winning songstress Lalah Hathaway announced lalah hathaway LIVE!, the live concert recording for her seventh album, which is scheduled to release in the fall. The intimate concert event will be held on Tuesday, April 21st at the legendary Troubadour Theater in Los Angeles, CA.

Hosting this recording at the Troubadour is significant for Lalah because it is where her father, iconic soul singer Donny Hathaway, recorded half of his classic 1972 offering Live. She says, “I have aspired to the greatness of Donny Hathaway Live my entire life. This is an amazing full circle moment for me!”

In addition to planning for the recording and release of lalah hathaway LIVE!, Lalah will perform on the 2015 Black Girls Rock! special, appearing alongside Tracee Ellis Ross, Regina King, First Lady Michelle Obama, Cicely Tyson, Ava Duvernay, Jada Pinkett Smith, Fantasia, Faith Evans and more. Black Girls Rock! premieres on BET on Sunday, April 5th at 7PM ET / PT.
