Gregory Porter hasn’t stopped touring the globe since the 2013 release of his Blue Note Records debut Liquid Spirit, which has earned him wide acclaim including a GRAMMY Award as well as breakthrough sales success throughout Europe where the album has achieved Platinum status in Germany and Gold status in the United Kingdom and France.
Now the jazz and soul singer-songwriter has released the 5-song digital EP, More Liquid Spirit – Features + Remixes, consisting of bonus material sure to delight his fans. The eclectic EP is available in the United States today at all digital retailers and streaming services, and includes collaborations with Laura Mvula and Jamie Cullum.
Featured on the EP is a tender duet with Mvula on a new version of Porter’s “Water Under Bridges,” as well as Porter and Cullum’s explosive take on the Nina Simone popularized song “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” which comes from Cullum’s forthcoming Blue Note album Interlude. Also included is a cover of the Bill Withers classic “Grandma’s Hands” featuring Ben L’Oncle Soul), as well as two remixes of tracks from Liquid Spirit: 20Syl’s fresh update of the title track and a reworking of the soulful “Musical Genocide” by Ludovic Navarre aka St Germain.
