Jazz and soul singer Gregory Porter won his first-ever GRAMMY Award yesterday when his Blue Note Records debut Liquid Spirit was awarded Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles. The win is the culmination of a remarkable rise to the top ranks of Jazz singers for Porter. Leading up to the GRAMMYs he appeared on ABC Jimmy Kimmel Live giving stunning performances of “Liquid Spirit” and “Hey Laura” as well as “Real Good Hands.” He was profiled by both the Los Angeles Times and Associated Press last week while the music video for “Liquid Spirit” was added into rotation on VH1 Soul. Porter has also appeared on NBC Tonight Show With Jay Leno and CBS This Morning. ESQUIRE has called him “America’s Next Great Jazz Singer.”

Porter will be performing a special Valentine’s Day concert on February 14 at Town Hall in New York City. Additional U.S. tour stops will include shows in Chicago and Washington DC as well extensive dates throughout Europe. For a full list of tour dates visit
