Reggae Producer Kemar “Flava” McGregor Signs New Deal with Veal-Steen Music Publishing

The agreement will allow McGregor to showcase new music from world-renowned pop singers, such as Sinead O’Connor, Musiq Soulchild and Syleena Johnson, along with new pop artists from Canada, United Kingdom and mainland Europe.

We have already broken ground on numerous projects, and it is an exciting future for both companies,” stated Joseph Patella, Executive VP of LGN Entertainment and Veal-Steen Music Publishing.

Veal-Steen owner Steve Lane said the deal will undoubtedly fortify his company’s presence in the reggae industry, as it will enable distribution of a large, radio friendly catalog from a wide variety of renowned reggae artists.

Our goal now is to get his enormous pop-reggae catalogue into our system for digital/physical distribution and publishing administration. Signing this deal with Kemar McGregor will position us in the industry to offer a more diverse selection of reggae music.”

McGregor also expressed excitement about the deal, stating that Veal-Steen’s solid industry relationships would empower him to maximize his media exposure.

“I was looking for independent label that is honest and trustworthy to distribute my catalog,” said McGregor. “At this point, I think merging with Veal-Steen is a good look for my company. This deal would help me to get my message across, because merging with this label gives me a lot more opportunity to reach a wider market. They have a proper setup, and they have a lot more outlets in different territories worldwide.”
