“UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson” hits iTunes
“Será que no me amas” the 2nd solo release from the acclaimed and much
anticipated musical project “UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael
Jackson,” hits the iTunes market worldwide.
Fans of Michael’s
music will recall this Latin version of “Blame it on the Boogie” as one
of the early hits of The Jacksons era. While being captivated by its
faithful recreation of Michael’s unmistakable sound, the audience will
fall into the groove directed by the talented producer and arranger of
this musical juggernaut, Tony Succar. The disc, which has been acclaimed
by critics as unique in the music world, has led to the Wall Street
International Magazine’s praise of the young Succar. “I have put my
entire heart and soul into this project as a tribute to the most
influential artist that has ever blessed his fans with his extraordinary
music and global message,” says Succar.
After three years in the
making, the entire album is set to release in the spring of 2013 with
its first single release “I Want You Back” hitting the DJ’s Latinos
Record Pool, Latin Music Charts at #1, last week, further drives the
spirits of the entire Unity team. Ninety (90) Latin artists, of
international recognition, all came together for this project. Most
notably the soulful Latin voices of Tito Nieves, India, Obie Bemudez,
Jennifer Pena and Jan not only make this a true tribute, but continue
the global legacy began by Michael himself.
About the artists:
Michael
Stuart, burst into the music scene with his 1996 debut album titled
Cuentos De La Vecindad (Tales of the Neighborhood) which included
Michael Jackson’s very own “The Lady in My Life”, won Stuart the New
Artist of the Year 1996-97 Award, the Tropical New Artist 1997 Award by
the Tu Musica Awards, and a nomination for the “New Artist of the Year”
at the Lo Nuestro Awards in 1997. With a bountiful award shelf between
1997 and 2004 Stuart released the Latin Pop album Sin Miedo (Without
Fear), which was nominated for a Latin Grammy under Best
Tropical-Contemporary Album of the Year. This year Stuart brings his
swing to “Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson” with a fresh spin
to the track “Blame it on the Boogie”, a greatest hit from the Jackson 5
era, titled “Sera que no me amas”.
Tony Succar received his
Bachelor of Arts from Florida’s International University in 2008 and
followed with his Master’s Degree in 2010. Tony has had the privilege to
work with a number of artists including Arturo Sandoval, Nestor Torres,
Tito Puente Jr., Gilberto Santa Rosa, Oscar de Leon, Tito Nieves, La
India and Tito Rojas, among others. Succar’s debut album Live at
Wertheim Performing Arts is a perfect example of his musical acuteness
and attention to detail. Tony Succar has taken on the ambitious
challenge of creating and spearheading “Unity: The Latin Tribute to the
King of Pop,” a masterpiece tribute to Michael Jackson which fuses
elements of American Pop, Jazz, and Salsa. “Unity” is Succor’s ultimate
tribute to Michael Jackson’s musical inheritance— the culmination of the
collaboration of a number of international artists who all seek to pay
homage to the superstar.
