Chuck Brown – The Godfather of Go Go Passes…

One of music’s leading talents in the R&B scene, Chuck Brown, from the Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers fame in the 70’s has recently passed away (May 16th, 2012). Mr. Brown was well known for his relentless energy on stage and for the introduction of the widely used sub-genre term “Go-Go” in the Washington D.C. Area, which in turn, help spawn and influence a great group of bands featuring that musical style. His hit single, “Bustin Loose” is considered a major classic.
