80’s R&B group Timex Social Club is back with a new book release and available for booking

that brought you one of the best selling 12-inch singles of all time
“Rumors”, is back performing again.

Formed in Berkeley, California in 1982; TSC climbed the Billboard
R&B charts in the summer 1986 and reached#1 with their runaway smash
hit “Rumors”.

This led to an invitation from rap impresario Russell Simmons for the group to join the historic Raising Hell Tour as an opening act, for rap heavy weighs RUN-D.M.C., Whodini, LL Cool J, Doug E. Fresh and The Beastie Boys.

Their album, “Vicious Rumors”,
released in late 1986, included “Thinkin’ About Ya” and “Mixed-Up
World” respectively, both songs reached the Billboard R&B top 20.

Over the years, Timex Social Club’s music has been sampled and covered
by such artists as: 2 Pac (“Soon As I Get Home”), Public Enemy (“More
News At Eleven”), Master P (“Thinkin’ ‘Bout You”), Club Nouveau
(“Jealousy”, “Why You Treat Me So Bad”) and The Luniz (“I Got 5 On It”) just to name a few.

In 2011, founding member, songwriter and author, Marcus Thompson released a book entitled: How Do Rumors Get Started: The true story of Timex Social Club, to date the book has received great reviews on sites such as Lulu.com and Amazon.com.

2012, Marcus Thompson and R&B vocalist Samuelle (the voice of Club Nouveau – “Jealousy” and “Lean On Me”) have united and are performing their hits.
