R&B/Gospel Singer David Peaston Passes…

The team at T.U.M.S. is greatly saddened by the passing of one of our era’s finest vocalists: David Peaston. The St. Louis, MO native blazed the scene and all audiences back in the 80’s on hit running TV show, “Showtime at the Apollo” with his amazing velvety voice. His take on the composition, “God Bless The Child” is still considered one of the finest renditions ever done, which in turn won him the competition. Mr. Peaston later released 4 albums to his credit, with numerous singles charting on Billboard – of those, classic ballad “Can I“, back in 1989:
