Major3rd Productions to Release FREE Mixtape on Oct. 25th | Feat. Independent Gospel Artists

 
October 24, 2011 (Los Angeles, CA) – Major3rd Productions, a collective of songwriters and producers, will offer a free mixtape entitled EPIC tomorrow, October 25th.

Major3rd Productions consists of Gerald Jones, Justin Djuane Francis and Carlos Woodard. The trio are emerging producers and writers who have been making waves in the industry for the last few years having worked with a range of artists from Joshua’s Troop, Claude Deuce and Virtue. EPIC clearly showcases their skills as solid creative powerhouse.

The compilation of 12 tracks include both well known and up & coming Gospel artists; among the featured are Darwin Hobbs, Claude Deuce, Tammi Haddon and Virtue. Several standout independent artists are also included on the mixtape include Paula Champion, Jaye Brown, Boyce Hudson, Deah Harriott and Stephanie Goldsmith.

“The reason we titled it EPIC is because for 3 guys like us it’s just amazing that we were able to accomplish this with almost no money,” explained Jones. “Every artist we asked said yes with no hesitation … so for us that is EPIC! God’s favor is EPIC!”

Among the highlights is the lead track, “Oh Lord,” from Virtue, the first new recording by the ladies in over five years. The guitar laden, genre-bridging Gospel and Contemporary Christian track reminds us of how much we missed Virtue. Other gems, the soulful “I Believe God,” from male vocalist Claude Deuce and the distinctive, smooth vocals of Darwin Hobbs on the love song “Stronger.” This mixtape is a brilliant combination of styles and sounds making it a great addition to any music collection.
