Thats’ right T.U.M.S. Readers! We are back with another superior line-up of more ultimate R&B slow jams to finish off our collection of the Top 100!!

And one of our top writers in the old school reviews dept. on T.U.M.S., Charles F. Sherard, wanted to get the candles lit up with a look back at a promising balladeer on the rise back in the late 80’s: R&B Crooner Sherrick and his heartfelt cover of a classic from R&B soul group, The Originals entitled, “Baby, I’m For Real”!

….”I can’t help but to look back at a smooth operating timeless wonder that should have made it to the big leagues with his sultry, soul stirring voice. Brother Sherrick came out from underneath the covers with a well drawn out debut CD back in 1987 and dropped all bets off with his rendition of “Baby, I’m For Real” by Soul Music’s The Originals and left me wondering, ‘what if?’…what if Sherrick stuck around for a little while longer and presented more music well after this masterpiece?…”

Sherrick passed away back in January 1999. His debut CD is STILL one of the most sought after recordings in modern R&B history. We reflect on his music tonight, as well as entice a sense of romance for all of you still appreciating our list of ballads for your discerning ear.
