Music Legend Gil Scott Heron Passes Away at 62…

The master of the spoken word and one of Rap music’s most influential, otherwise recognized throughout the industry as the “Godfather of Rap Music” – Gil Scott Heron – passed away Friday evening. He was 62.

Gil Scott Heron was best known in the game for his classic single, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”. Last year in 2010, Mr. Heron came back to The Urban Music Scene with a new project in 16 years entitled, “I’m New Here”.
