The Top 100 R&B Slow Jams #27 | The SOS Band – Tell Me If You Still Care

The sos Band - on the rise

We drop this on y’all tonight….in hopes you sleep tight.

One of the most influential, if not much appreciated R&B groups of all time, The S.O.S. Band was ‘certainly on the rise’ when this recording came out in 1983. And you can either classify this track as either a ‘cha-cha’ classic or a mastery of the slow quiet storm. ‘Cause “Tell Me If You Still Care” was the JAM no matter how you call it.

This mystical, wonderful ballad is found off their monumental classic album, “On The Rise”. And you know what, they may have knocked 2 birds with one stone with relation to the phrase of the album title because not only did the group became very successful in the 80’s, rising very high, but the niche – extraordinary production skills of Terry Lewis & James Harris III took off in flight. And it still is today….

BY THE WAY – BUY THE ALBUM. You won’t regret it.

Stay wrapped up in that blanket of yours and pump this through your computer speaker center. Don’t forget to heat up the kettle of water: The players at T.U.M.S. wishes you a good evening with the announcement of our #27 Top 100 R&B Slow Jam – The SOS Band and “Tell Me If You Still Care”.
