Reggae Artist Sadiki Continues To Climb The Charts…

 
ORLANDO, FL, FEBRUARY, 2011 – For the second consecutive week Sadiki’s “Lifeline” and the first single from that album, “African Queen” are both in the #1 position on the Weekly Star Top 10 Chart. The multi-talented singer/songwriter and producer who is based in the US got his first #1 single with “African Queen” on the BBC Reggae World Beat Chart, just over two months ago.
 
The international lovers rock album “Lifeline” released through Sadiki’s label Skinny Bwoy and Joe Frasier Records in September 2010, has also done extremely well in Florida and New York, where it peaked at #2 on both the South Florida Reggae Chart and the New York Reggae Albums Chart.
 
Sadiki was born in Rollington Town, Kingston Jamaica and attended Meadowbrook High School in St. Andrew, before migrating to the United States. Over the course of his career he has worked with notable producers such as Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), Tony ‘CD’ Kelly, ‘Computer’ Paul Henton and Lloyd Campbell. He toured as an opening act with reggae crooner Beres Hammond on his “Music Is Life” world tour from 2002-2003. In 2007 he embarked on his own tour of Japan where his label Skinny Bwoy Records, was offered distribution for the release of his debut album “Morning’s Come”. “Morning’s Come” went on to top the Tower Records and HMV Reggae releases.
 
Sadiki is the only artist so far this year to have two albums (“Lifeline” and the February 2011 release “Fi Di Dancehall” – a collaborative effort with Ace DJ and producer Delly Ranx) on the Netherlands based Reggae-Vibes Chart. “It’s a good feeling whenever your work is honored,” said Sadiki. “While it’s not my main goal in doing music, it definitely helps in building a solid legacy.”
 
The singer is busy in the studio finishing up remixes for songs on his just released album “Fi Di Dancehall”. The lead single from that album “Jamaican Queen” is currently charting on the BBC World Reggae Beat Chart in the UK.
