Happy New Years Folks as we STILL keep our countdown in full check for some of our favorite R&B slow ballads from over the years.

With a pulse to the groove and a heartbeat for love, sultry songstress Vesta Williams delivered a masterpiece in the Attala Zane Giles produced “Sweet Sweet Love“. A classic by all means and considerably a track that could be played on the radio format RIGHT NOW.

This single can be found off the successful LP, “Vesta 4 U” and sat on the top 10 charts at #4 (R& back in 1988. The album is still available out there, especially on vinyl. Many of us remembered her stage name as “Vesta” and yes, her vocal range is in full effect. You’ll see in a moment…
