Muthoni the Drummer Queen Releases Remix EP for Mikono Kwenye Hewa

Muthoni the Drummer Queen has
released a remix EP of her track Mikono Kwenye Hewa. The EP is a result
of a remix competition inside the Africa Unsigned community, and it
consists of four tracks which were handpicked by Muthoni herself. The EP
will be given for free to Muthoni’s fans who have supported her on
africaunsigned.com.

Amsterdam, Netherlands, December 31, 2010 –(PR.com)–
A few months back Muthoni started a competition to remix her hit single
Mikono Kwenye Hewa on Africa Unsigned. She did this to support her
project on the crowdfunding platform and to reward her supporters with
something extra.

This week finally saw the release of a four
track remix EP available at all online stores. Of course the supporters
of her project on africaunsigned.com receive the EP for free.

The remixes are done by Henrik Sollien, Andreas Norén, Karl Lindberg and Pearl.

Muthoni the Drummer Queen
It’s
hard to define a style for Kenyan popstar Muthoni. She uses influences
of hiphop, indierock, soul and breakbeat in her music, which she blends
with African sounds. She has been awarded for her versatility this year
by a nomination for an MTV Africa Music Award and performing at the
prestigious TEDx Amsterdam event.

Africa Unsigned
At the
moment Muthoni is close to reaching another career landmark. Once her
support on Africa Unsigned website reaches $5,000, she shall return to
the studio to record a new EP which will reward her supporters with
another release of hers. She is currently over 90% of her target.

Africa
Unsigned (www.africaunsigned.com) is a young and innovative company
geared to promoting new African music through crowdfunding.
