THE GODFATHER OF GO-GO GETS FUNKED UP ON ‘WE GOT THIS’

Chuck Brown, dubbed the “godfather of go-go” by both USA Today and the
New York Times, is releasing the 3-disc set ‘We Got This’ September 21st
on Raw Venture. The set includes a live album and live DVD and a disc
of 5 new songs that feature collaborations with Jill Scott, Ledisi and
Marcus Miller.

The DVD also features the 73-year-old guitarist, vocalist and bandleader
in a duet with his daughter KK recorded at Washington, DC’s legendary
9:30 Club. It captures the energy of Brown and his band’s epic, nonstop,
marathon live shows, and demonstrates why the Washington Post says
Brown is “as important to our city as that tall monument down on the
mall.”
