The Top 100 R&B Slow Jams – #75 | Mint Condition – U Send Me Swingin’

Mint Condition - From The Mint Factory

This is without a Question needed. No Sir…No Madam. This belongs here.

Drift with us back to a beautiful spring season of the year 1993-1994 to when hit R&B group, Mint Condition simply released a ballad so precious, it still rings every door bell after all these years in playback. And it comes as another requested addition to the series of slow jams according to Charles (our staff writer)…

….”Crew, This one is for the ladies that always made us fall very deep in love (The proper term for that was, ‘we were sprung’), for some of us brothers who couldn’t go to sleep without saying goodnight to their honey, to many of us who stay up late at night playing the same ole slow jams from back in the day. Mesmerizing infatuation. It doesn’t get any better than this.”

It sure doesn’t Charles. The single “U Send Me Swingin'”, from album “The Mint Factory”, topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts at #2 for 4 weeks in ’94. If it was to be re-released today, it may end up there in the same position or higher.

We give a serious head nod for the next addition to our steady stream of beautiful ballads. Our next selection for #75 to our Top 100 R&B Slow Jams goes to Lead Singer Stokley Williams & the band from St. Paul, Minnesota: Mint Condition | U Send Me Swingin’!
