A Champaign Brunch is now being served by an eighties R&B hit-making band.

R&B Great Pauli Carman & Champaign signs with Plateau Music & is Set to Release New Album “Champaign Brunch”

In the early eighties, R&B band Champaign cranked out several Billboard hits, including “Try Again” and their smash, “How ‘Bout Us,” while making numerous appearances on the top video networks and dance TV shows. Through the years, the band has been held together by the original lead vocalist Pauli Carman long after their hit parade came to an end with a 1991 ‘reunion’ release Champaign IV, a greatest hits collection release in 2003 (with the interesting omission of “Try Again”) and several recordings between 2008 to the present.

In the meantime, Carman (who also established a solo career) was awarded with the National R&B Music Society’s “Unsung Hero Award” in 2013. The following year, their 2014 contribution, Eyes of the Spirit, reached gold status while expanding their fan base in North America and Europe. With a new label signing to Plateau Music Nashville in 2015, Champaign follows up with their upcoming collection of original music entitled, Champaign Brunch, scheduled to drop in mid-2016. Expect the new, their special rendition of cover hits and of course, their eighties’ treasures as Carman & the 2016 edition of Champaign exclusively deliver their Champaign Brunch tour, which is already in progress.
