NEW REGGAE RELEASE: Gregory Isaacs Album “In Lovers Rock Style” Coming Jan. 15th, 2016

GREGORY ISAACS ALBUM REMASTERED WITH MODERN STREAMING SOUND

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – January 13, 2016: FM Records released a new Gregory Isaacs album, titled “In Lovers Rock Style,” for pre-order on iTunes. The album will be released Friday, January 15, 2016 on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.

The eight-song LP was remastered to deliver a modern digital streaming sound to Isaacs’ unique singing style – the delicate, romantic melodicism that erected Isaacs’ four-decade career. The album, released for pre-order November 20, 2015, was compiled by Kemar “Flava” McGregor for the FM Records label.

Born on July 15, 1951, in Kingston, Jamaica, Gregory Isaacs was considered a major influence on the lovers rock reggae genre. In 1992, he was described by the New York Times as “the most exquisite vocalist in reggae.” Isaacs was a four-time Grammy Award nominee in the Best Reggae Album category – nominated for “Mr. Cool” in 1997, “Private and Confidential” in 2001, “Brand New Me” in 2010 and “Isaacs Meets Isaac” (posthumously) in 2011. Isaacs died on October 25, 2010 of lung cancer in London, UK.
