Saxophonist Gerald Albright to Release New EP “Hot Chocolate” on Feb. 27th, 2026 | LISTEN!

Gerald Albright continues giving More Than Enough on his latest single

Before he entered college, Gerald Albright had mastered the saxophone. Yet the Los Angeles native was also a respected session musician switching between his primary instrument and the bass guitar – playing for piano virtuoso Patrice Rushen, funk master Maurice White from Earth Wind & Fire and other prominent musicians during the ‘80’s. As his career progressed, Albright was at the forefront of the contemporary jazz era packing lots of funk and soul for almost four decades, complete with many Billboard Top 20 placements.

On his upcoming E.P., Hot Chocolate, the funk is very present, demonstrated on the current radio single, “More Than Enough” (Bright Music) where Albright happens to balance his soulful saxophones and touches of flute, still flexing his dexterity on bass guitar. He also sits in the production and engineer chair while playing what he knows best, assisted by drummer Jerrod “JRod” Sullivan, Rick Watford on guitars and keyboardist James “JRob” Roberson.

“More than Enough” is currently available on most digital platforms.
