U.K. Vocalist Tamera Releases New Single “Blessings” | WATCH NEW VIDEO!
U.K. R&B/Afrobeat vocalist, Tamera, remembers the Blessings on her latest single
The popular reality music showcase, The X-Factor, introduced Tamera Cuthbert, AKA Tamera, back in 2013 where she finished in 5th place. Citing divas such as Beyonce and Missy Elliott, the London, England based singer/songwriter found a recording opportunity six years later, signing with Moonshyne Music Ltd. Since 2019, Tamera showcased her intimate yet penetrating personality on two EP’s, Afrodite and Lost in Translation, several singles and was nominated at the British MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards in 2024.
Tamera’s latest single, “Blessings,” was originally written as a tribute to a close friend’s passing, revealing that life is shorter than we think no matter who we treasure. Co-producers Aston Rudi & Isaac Adeosi open up “Blessings” with acoustic piano before the beats make way. The chorus invokes a gospel choir mixed with Tamera’s fierce R&B spitfire attitude about living out frustrations, yet remembering her faith in the process:
“I may seem full of regret/
But I let God do the rest/
I don’t deserve this hurt/
No matter what my father told me.”
