Tasha Cobbs Leonard Celebrates Billboard #1 on Gospel Airplay Chart with Perseverance Anthem “Gotta Believe”
Today, Grammy, Billboard Music, Stellar, and Dove Award-winning Singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard celebrates her single “Gotta Believe” reaching No.1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay Chart. “Gotta Believe” was originally released in June of 2021 and has been on the chart for over 21 weeks.
Leonard originally recorded “Gotta Believe” as part of NPR Morning Edition’s Song Project, a series launched during the pandemic quarantine to provide an outlet for artists to write and perform an original song as a way to reflect the times. “I wrote ‘Gotta Believe’ as a testament of God’s faithfulness through a difficult time on our fertility journey,” Tasha Cobbs Leonard shared exclusively with Billboard this week. “For this song to be the most-played song at gospel radio the same week we finalized adoption of my precious new baby is amazing! I am so grateful.”
Tasha Cobbs Leonard and her 2020 release Royalty: Live At The Ryman is nominated for Best Gospel Album at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
