Musiq Soulchild & Syleena Johnson’s “9INE” Reaches #8 on iTunes Soul Chart
NORTH LAUDERHILL, FL – SEPTEMBER 27, 2013: Musiq Soulchild and Syleena Johnson’s new reggae duet album, “9INE,” has cracked the iTunes R&B/Soul Top 10 Albums Chart, peaking at number eight on Thursday.
The “9INE” LP was highly ranked on the Amazon MP3 Bestsellers-R&B Albums chart on Thursday, peaking at number 21. The Grammy Award-nominated duo released the “9INE” LP Tuesday, September 24, 2013.
The album – produced by Kemar ‘Flava’ McGregor – features nine pop-reggae duet songs from Musiq Soulchild and Syleena Johnson, including the album’s most successful hit single, “Feel the Fire,” which peaked at number 32 on the iTunes R&B/Soul Singles Chart in July 2013.
Three tracks from “9INE” were featured on the TV One reality series, “R&B Divas.” The single “Feel the Fire” was unveiled June 19, 2013 on R&B Divas, when cast member Syleena Johnson premiered the song at a listening party during the final episode of season two.
