Brandon Frazier, music director for Atlanta West Pentecostal Church Choir accepts the honors of Best Regional Choir and Verizon’s People’s Choice during Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound competition. The choir will go on to represent the Atlanta area at the grand finale in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 4.

ATLANTA, Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Atlanta West Pentecostal Church Choir of Lithia Springs, Ga., was named regional winner of Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound competition and received $10,000 and other prizes.  The choir will go on to represent the Atlanta area at the grand finale in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 4.  The first runner up prize of $5,000 was awarded to Out For Souls, led by Cedric Sesley.  Atlanta West Pentecostal Church Choir also won Verizon’s People’s Choice Award and $5,000.
