Sonorous Entertainment to Release 2 New CD’s Per Month from the House of Beauty Gospel Music Catalog
Boca Raton, FL, February 01, 2012 –(PR.com)–
Sonorous Entertainment Inc. will be releasing two CD’s on a monthly
basis as part of its continuing Platinum Gospel Series from the HOB
Gospel Music Catalog. Each CD will be digitally remastered to provide
the best quality sound of these recordings.
HOB Records was
founded in 1958 by Carmen Murphy who ran the company out of the basement
of her Beauty Salon for black women. Artists for the label included
Gospel greats Shirley Caesar, Rev. James Cleveland, the Swan Silvertones
and The Blind Boys of Alabama, among many others. With a collection of
such iconic Gospel singers, the HOB Gospel Music Catalog has become
known as one of the greatest collections of black Gospel music
worldwide.
Sonorous will continue to distribute the CD’s in
partnership with Universal Music Group, the world’s largest music
distribution company.
The purchase of the HOB Gospel Music
Catalog has given Sonorous the copyrights to over 3,000 sound recordings
and the publishing rights to over 200 songs. By having these songs
carefully remastered from the original magnetic tapes using state of the
art technology, Sonorous will continue to preserve the rich history of
its artists and their music.
