Soul Spotlight goes to Kindred the Family Soul

VH1 Soul powers debut of “U Got Love” featuring
special guest Snoop Dogg with airing of new music video once an hour.
Hometown radio heats up with feel good radio jam.

Soulful Hitmakers Kindred the Family Soul close out February with a
belated Valentine’s gift from VH1 Soul. The stars of the popular
web-series “Six Is It” are the Soul Spotlight Artist of the Week this
week with the broadcast premier of the video for “U Got Love” featuring
Snoop Dogg powering the week at one spin an hour, a minimum of 100
spins.

Snoop Dogg’s ‘gangsta’ persona takes a back
seat on the horn laden Philly Soul stepper. During his verse Snoop, the
married father of three, celebrates with Kindred by saluting Shante, his
wife of nearly 14 years. When asked about his relationship with Shante,
Snoop replied “some people in life are chosen for you. And I feel like we’re chosen for each other.” When asked about “U Got Love,” the Doggfatther simply replied “I Luv it.” Aja & Fatin of Kindred recently celebrated their 12th Anniversary.

“U Got Love” is off to a quick start at radio in Kindred’s hometown of Philadelphia where WRNB OM, Elroy Smith said recently “It
takes certain songs that grab you after one or two listens. “U Got
Love” by Kindred The Family Soul is one of those rare songs. I love the
song and anticipate a great success story for this incredible duet.” The venerable WDAS also recently began to support the track after a successful fan campaign.

“U Got Love” is now available from iTunes and is the lead single from Kindred’s first Independent album entitled “The Great Recession” coming this spring.
