NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwire – February 4, 2011) – Atlantic Recording
artist Tank proudly announces the exclusive iTunes premiere of his new
video for “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” the latest single from his fourth
studio album, “NOW OR NEVER.” The clip, directed by Jonathan Mannion,
also stars actress Keisha Knight-Pulliam and premieres exclusively on
iTunes on February 8th. The video for the cover of Bonnie
Raitt’s original of the same name will remain exclusive to the music
retailer until Valentine’s Day and can be found on Tank’s iTunes artist
page at www.itunes.com/Tank. What’s more, Tank is slated to usher in Valentine’s Day with a special appearance on BET’s 106th & Park
(check local listings). The singer’s soulful “You Mean That Much” is
also included on Atlantic/Elektra’s “THE LOVE EP,” which arrives at all
DSPs on February 8th.
…
On top of all this, Tank has recently been added to the lineup for this year’s Essence Music Festival.
In the meantime, last month saw Tank performing in tribute to R&B
singer Jamie Foxx at this year’s BET Honors airing February 21st
(check local listings). Known as one of R&B’s most acclaimed
singer/songwriters, Tank is preparing to set sail this March as part of
the “2011 Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage.” The luxurious and
intimate cruise departs out of Galveston, Texas and will dock in exotic
locations like Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Belize. Always one to show his
love and appreciation for his loyal fans, Tank introduces “Emergency
Time With Tank,” an exclusive cruise feature named after his hit single,
which will see him accompanying guests to the spa, hosting private
album listening sessions, as well as sharing the inspiration for many of
his classic tracks.
Adding to this already exciting list, the R&B superstar
has been nominated in the “Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group
With Vocals” category at this year’s Grammy Awards for “Take My Time
(Feat. Tank),” his collaboration with Chris Brown, joining the 8 career
nominations he has to date.
With his first full-length collection in three years, “NOW OR
NEVER” sees Tank making his most confident musical statement to
date. The album, which was released in December, includes the soulful
“Amazing” as well as collaborations with Chris Brown (“Foreplay”) and
Drake (“Celebration”) as well as the lead singles “Emergency” and “Sex
Music,” which have proven to be fan favorites. “NOW OR NEVER,” Tank’s
fourth studio album, was produced by the singer’s own production
company, Song Dynasty, and is a collection of modern era love songs with
a timeless, traditional R&B sound.
In addition to his own music, Tank has also penned and
contributed vocals to hits for the likes of Chris Brown, Jamie Foxx,
Keri Hilson and Atlantic labelmate Plies.
