the Royal Albert Hall where Michael was performing with Michael Bolton

saxophonist Michael Lington. Label owner Les Cutmore recently had the
chance to catch Michael in London at the Royal Albert Hall where Michael
was performing with Michael Bolton on a 125 date world tour. Les
Cutmore comments, “After meeting Michael in London, spending most of the
day with him and speaking about some great ideas and his musical
direction, then seeing him perform live at the Royal Albert Hall just
confirmed to me how talented he is. I’m very pleased to have signed

Michael Lington, with his unique sense
of style and sound, has been instrumental in defining the look and feel
of the contemporary jazz genre over the last decade. With his knack of
penning compelling, memorable hits, Lington is no stranger to the top of
the radio and retail charts. His 2002 release was chosen as one of the
best contemporary jazz records of the year by Jazziz Magazine, 2006
brought Best album of the year accolades from Jazz Trax and in 2009
Michael was nominated as International Instrumentalist Of The Year at

Receives Grammy Nomination For “Best Jazz Vocal Album”


Los Angeles, CA.  Dee Dee Bridgewater’s stunning homage to Billie Holiday, Eleanora Fagan (1915-1959):  To Billie With Love From Dee Dee, has been nominated for a 2011 Grammy Award in the category of “Best Jazz Vocal Album.” The CD, released this past Spring on DDB Records/Emarcy/Universal, was Executive Produced by Bridgewater.  The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place Sunday, February 13th, live from Los Angeles.

Over the course of a multifaceted career that has spanned four decades, Grammy and Tony Award-winning Jazz diva Dee Dee Bridgewater has risen to the top tier of today’s vocalists, putting her own unique spin on standards as well as taking intrepid leaps of faith in re-envisioning jazz classics.
